Meeting With High School Students From Greece And Poland

What are the main objectives of the Office for Foreigners? What process must foreigners undergo to legalize their stay in Poland? Who can obtain refugee status? Rafal Rogala, Head of the Office for Foreigners, answered to these and many other questions during the meeting with school students in Bochnia.

The workshop entitled “We all are migrants” was attended by students of Kazimierz Wielki High School No 1 in Bochnia and the Greek High School “Athina” in Trikala. The project implemented by the European Clubs in schools lasts 7 months. The central point was a six-day meeting attended by 20 each Polish and Greek students and teachers. Both teams presented the results of their activities. Working in four groups, they developed similar issues such as migration in Poland and Greece after accession to the European Union. One of the agenda point was a meeting with Rafal Rogala, Head of Office for Foreigners.

The project was established and funded within Erasmus + programme. During the implementation participants also visited KL Auschwitz, Krakow’s Kazimierz and Schindler’s Factory Museum.
