Government Security Center Conference

The security of Poland in the context of migration movements, the terrorist threat and the conclusions from the NATO Summit and World Youth Day were the subjects of the conference “Crisis management in the face of changes in the geopolitical situation in Europe”. The meeting was organized by the Government Security Center in cooperation with the Police Academy in Szczytno.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Office for Foreigners, who presented a report entitled “Situation connected with influx of foreigners and increase of threat in Europe – Polish aspect”. Experts from institutions responsible for broadly understood security also discussed, among others, the threats of terrorist attacks in Europe, the “air bridge” as an element of mass events protection and ways to counter IT attacks in the power sector.

On 18 September 2014 an agreement on co-operation in crisis management between the Government Security Center and the Office for Foreigners is in force.
